RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

The following rules and regulations have been framed with the aim to help the school function in an organizes manner. All the students admitted, parents and the concerned stakeholder should respect and abide by the rules and regulations of the school.

1.      School, being affiliated to CBSE, will follow and abide by the Rules and Regulations, Circulars and Notices of CBSE.

 

2.      School will also be guided and governed by the Rules and Regulations, Circulars and Notices of Education Department, Govt. of Sikkim as it is a government school. School will conduct all scholastic and co scholastic activities as per the calendar published by Education Department, Govt. of Sikkim.

 

3.      Students should come and go following the school timing given by the Education Department, GoS. No student will be allowed to leave the school premise without prior permission of the principal. Taking permission from teacher, class teacher or any other staff members when the principal is present in the school is not allowed.

 

4.      Parents/ Guardians are advised not to send their ward to school if they are unwell. Coming to school and then asking for leave is not allowed. Prior permission should be taken from the principal for any kind of leave. Only medical leave supported by medical papers will be granted. For other unavoidable reasons like death in the immediate family, leave will be granted only after proper application and knowledge is given to the school by the concerned parents or guardians.

 

5.      Student shall not be allowed to write her/his examination if her/his attendance is less than 75%.

 

6.      Students are not allowed to carry money with them or any valuables. School shall not be responsible for any loss of the same.

 

7.      Students and Prefects are not allowed to collect any money from other students under any pretext. Any collection required, for example celebration of Teachers’ Day prior permission should be taken from the principal. Details of expenditure and Balance Sheet should be produced after the programme to the principal.

 

8.      Chewing gum, smoking cigarettes and the use of mouth freshners like pan masala, tamanna, Gutka, rajnigandha, tobacco, etc. (both Staff and students) are strictly prohibited. In case a student is found using any of the above mentioned things the parent/ guardian will be informed and the student will be handed over to the parent/ guardian immediately.

 

9.      If any student is found in possession of drugs and or alcohol or if the student is found intoxicated by the consumption of alcohol or drugs inside or outside the school premise, the parent/ guardian will be informed and the student will be handed over to the parent/ guardian immediately for necessary counseling of the child for his or her reformation.

 

10.  Students are not allowed to carry mobiles without prior permission of the teacher. The above articles, if found, will be confiscated.

 

11.  Students are not allowed to wear any fancy ear rings, bracelets, nose pins, hair clips, hair bands, friendship bands, expensive watches, necklaces, gold ornaments, etc.

 

12.  Hair dyes, and fashionable hair styles are not allowed. Girls should braid their hair into two plaits. Use of excessive number of hair clips is prohibited. Only simple black hair clips are allowed.

 

13.  Students should wear neat and proper uniform as prescribed by school. For girls skirts above the knees are not allowed.

 

14.  Students are not allowed to make any kind of tattoo designs on their body. If the tattoo design is already present on the visible part of the body, the mark should be concealed with the right adjustment of the uniform.

 

15.  Parents/ guardians are not allowed to see their wards or interview teachers during school hour. However, they can come and meet the principal in the office. No student is allowed to leave the school premise during school hour. If a student is found bunking the class, she or he shall be allowed to enter the classroom only after the concerned parent/ guardian meets the principal in the office. The offender has to write an apology letter which will be recorded in the Apology Register.
